Summer Ducks in a Row

Summer is the time for me to get all my ducks in a row. To celebrate this, I created my 2nd themed Etsy Treasury yesterday. This was also inspired by growing up living in a house with a pretty extensive duck collection curated by my mom. Strangely, her obsession with ducks led to me creating an odd and curious duck character I assumed the personality of during my MUD (Multi User Dimension) days.

The biggest thing I have to prepare for is my art booth for the upcoming Crossing the Blues Summer Festival happening on August 21 in La Grande. This will be the first time showing my work at a local outdoor festival. I have previous experience showing other types of crafts in different venues, but this is my first time showing my personal art work in my home town. The past three months have prepared me as it isn't the first time La Grande will have seen my art and it seems the art is well received, especially since the opening of White House Coffee, where my prints and cards decorate the main room.

I'm also preparing for another trip to California this coming Friday to attend a friend's wedding and to spend a few days with my mom. Traveling out of state in La Grande is somewhat of an ordeal since the nearest airport is 2 hours away as opposed to 1 exit away from my previous home. Although living here has hindered traveling, one of my favorite pass times, moving here has also allowed me to grow and develop my own style and build my business.
